Terms of service

Draft updated 5 November 2026 · Effective date not set

Operator and contact

TaleYou is operated by 刘晨, an individual based in China. In these terms, “we” refers to this operator. Product feedback and privacy questions use the same contact: leovince57@gmail.com.

Using TaleYou

TaleYou provides access to novels and interactive story features made available in the app. Story availability, languages and access options depend on the released catalog and your verified access. Use the service only where you meet the applicable age and eligibility requirements shown for the released app.

App license and story access

The App Store app license follows Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement unless a custom license is presented for the app in the App Store. These service terms describe TaleYou accounts, story access and interactive features.

Access to a story lets you read it for personal use within the access provided. It does not transfer ownership of the catalog or authorize redistribution or resale. Any restriction is subject to applicable law and permissions expressly granted by the rights holder.

Your account

Keep your sign-in credentials private and use only your own account. Library and progress sync use your TaleYou account. A purchase bound to one account is not automatically transferred to a newly created account.

Membership and billing

Where membership is offered, it is a monthly App Store subscription for access to members-only chapters. Review the title, period, local price and included access shown in the app and Apple’s purchase confirmation before subscribing.

Apple manages subscription billing and renewal. You can manage or cancel renewal through Apple’s subscription settings. Turning off renewal normally preserves access for the verified current period; access after expiry, refund or revocation follows the verified subscription status.

Use Restore purchases in the app to request verification of an existing purchase. A pending or unverified transaction does not create new access. Refund requests are handled through Apple’s process; see Apple’s refund instructions.

Deleting your TaleYou account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage the subscription separately before deleting the account.

Interactive stories

Model-generated responses may contain errors or unexpected fictional material. Interactive output is entertainment and should not be relied on as professional advice.

Access to interactive features does not by itself promise unlimited AI generation. Any paid offer is limited to the access and included usage described when that offer is made. For an interrupted operation, follow its existing status and recovery actions before submitting another request.

Content and acceptable use

Do not bypass access controls, interfere with the service, submit unlawful material or use another person’s private information without permission. Only submit content you have the necessary rights or permission to use. Input, relevant context and generated results are processed as described in the Privacy policy.

Availability and your rights

Features can be interrupted by maintenance, connectivity problems or provider outages. Follow the app’s status and recovery actions for interrupted requests. Availability and generated output are not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude. App Store purchases, refunds and the application license remain subject to the applicable Apple terms and mandatory law.

Account deletion and privacy

You can initiate deletion in the app. Re-registering creates a new account and does not restore deleted progress or automatically inherit an old transaction. Details are in Data & account choices and the Privacy policy.

Changes and contact

We will update the date on this page when these terms change. Material changes will be explained in the app or in App Store update notes, with any agreement required by applicable law obtained before the change applies. For questions, use the email on the feedback page.
